      Lace up your sneakers because registration is open – Triangle Race for the Cure!

      Why Race? Because every 74 seconds a life is lost to breast cancer, and we Parrot Heads “party with a PURPOSE!”.

      What is the Race? It’s an opportunity to raise critical funds and awareness, celebrate survivors, and honor those who have lost their battle.

      Who can participate? Anyone! Join as a runner, walker, volunteer, or donor.

      Where does the money go? 75% serves women in our community. 25% funds global research to find the cure.

      Preliminary Race Day Schedule:

      6:00 a.m. – Registration/Packet Pickup Opens
      6:45 a.m. – Survivor Breakfast Begins

      7:00 a.m. – Competitive Open 5K (co-ed)
      7:15 a.m. – Survivor Photo

      7:15 a.m. – Zumba Warm-up
      7:45 a.m. – Women’s Only 5K

      8:45 a.m. – Recreational Open 5K Run/Walk and One Mile (co-ed) – join the PHofNC Team as we pace ourselves through the spirited neighborhood surrounding Meridith College and help make a difference.

      10:00 a.m. – Kids Dash (ages 3-5)
      10:30 a.m. – Survivor Tribute

      Help merge boxes and and milk cartons of pop-tops collected by our members and those of the local American Legions for recycling, with funds going to help support the Durham Ronald McDonald House.

      Family Picnic and pontoon boat / tube rides @ Falls Lake

      Pack your picnic basket with food for your crew, plus a dish to share.
      The grills will be fired up and hot, ready for your gourmet burgers, dogs or whatever you bring to feed whoever you bring!  Family and friends are welcome to join us.

      Drinking is not allowed at state parks.  Please use non-clear cups and containers for your beverages.
